The Telum 624/628-TEJ AdvancedMC WAN I/O modules are high performance four-port (624-TEJ) or eight-port (628-TEJ) T1/E1/J1 modules designed for high availability telecommunication access applications.
These extended full-height modules feature four or eight independent, fully protected, full duplex ports.
The x4 PCI Express serial fabric interface is used as the central data and control transport medium.
The Telum 624/628-TEJ supports a time division multiplexed (TDM) bus which is used to encapsulate TDM packets into IP packets for transport through two Gigabit Ethernet GMII serial fabric interfaces.
The Telum 624/628-TEJ implements a highly scalable architecture providing I-TDM (internal-time division multiplex) services that enable multiplexed voice over IP, using hardware, and is compliant to the PICMG I-TDM specification.
There are two Gigabit Ethernet (GE) GMII serial fabric interfaces providing high speed transport to the AdvancedMC backplane.
The second GE port can be used for redundancy.
The Telum 624/628-TEJ gives customers a unique, high performance T1/E1/J1 WAN I/O solution for AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA systems.
The Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) and onboard CSU/DSU supplies AdvancedMC-compliant IPMI system management and network line management.
The onboard CSU/DSU offloads the CPU host by performing line management in hardware.
The Telum 624/628-TEJ also supports module hot swap to enable high availability applications.
The Telum 624/628 TEJ supports standard Carrier Grade Linux and VxWorks operating systems and ships with compatible drivers including a driver development kit.
