Schaffner is embarking on its own "EMC awareness campaign" to help the electrical and electronics industries come to terms with continuing EMC compliance.

Schaffner is embarking on its own "EMC awareness campaign" to help the electrical and electronics industries come to terms with continuing EMC compliance.

The campaign is based on a series of regional seminars which can be tailored to individual needs, combining EMC theory, regulatory updates and practical hands-on experience on all aspects of compliance.

According to Michael Lowe, Managing Director of Schaffner EMC Ltd: "It was not so very long ago that 'UK plc' was at the forefront of EMC compliance.

The DTI's awareness campaign was the envy of Europe and there was a real education scheme in progress".

"However", he warns, "that was then and this is now: there is a very real danger of EMC becoming the forgotten discipline of compliance".

The Schaffner EMC awareness campaign is already under way, and a number of seminars are already fully booked.

Venues scheduled during the remainder of 2001 include Coventry and the Thames Valley.

Private in-house seminars can also be arranged to specific company requirements.
