Available now from Schaffner EMC, Emipak Plus is a range of cost-effective EMC emissions compliance packages which form an ideal platform for companies considering in-house EMC testing.

Available now from Schaffner EMC, Emipak Plus is a range of cost-effective EMC emissions compliance packages which form an ideal platform for companies considering in-house EMC testing The packages address the growing demand from electrical and electronics OEMs to reduce the time and costs associated with continued compliance with international EMC regulations by reducing the need for third-party compliance testing

So, for example, manufacturers can perform their own in-house production sample testing to verify continued compliance as well as providing evidence for self-certification of new products which involve only minor modifications to existing compliant equipment.

Emipak Plus is based on Schaffner's proven EPS9980 "test-house" software, which has been used successfully for many years in compliance laboratories worldwide.

A variety of hardware configurations are available, with a choice of CISPR-compliant measuring receivers, line impedance stabilisation networks (LISNs), Bilog and loop antennas, amplifiers and clamps.

Two standard hardware setups are available which have been chosen specifically to suit companies starting emissions testing "from scratch".

Emipak Plus - 1 combines the SCR3501 receiver and CBL6111C Bilog antenna (both with a frequency range from 9kHz to 1GHz) with the MN2050D 10A single-phase LISN.

Emipak Plus - 2 is designed for high-frequency testing, extending the upper bounds to 2GHz with the SCR3502 receiver and CBL6112B Bilog antenna.

Whether standard or custom-specified, the software within each Emipak Plus is supplied with most international standard limit lines pre-installed.

Users can then create their own national or in-house limits quickly and easily using a simple editor.

Comprehensive report-generation facilities aid the production of test reports for self-certification.

Emipak is also expandable via software upgrade to the full Schaffner ProfLine 6000 automated emissions test package. Request a free brochure from Schaffner ...
