Schaffner has expanded its space-saving FN280 Series IEC inlet filters to include a full range rated at 10A.

Schaffner has expanded its space-saving FN280 Series IEC inlet filters to include a full range rated at 10A.

As a result, a new range of applications will be able to benefit from the device's combination of a high-performance powerline filter integrated into a compact IEC inlet with integral power switch and one or two fuses.

The FN280 simplifies the design and reduces the parts count for a range of industrial, professional and IEC 950-compliant equipment from photocopiers to precision instrumentation.

All filters in the FN280 Series are rated for voltages up to 250V from DC to 400Hz, over a temperature range from 25 to +85C.

Three different housing styles aid design flexibility, each featuring an easy-access fuse drawer and a rugged dual-pole rocker switch.

Further options include devices with an earth-line choke for added suppression, and medical-specified devices which feature an ultra-low 2A leakage current.

The FN280 Series of IEC-inlet filters is available now from Schaffner EMC with current ratings from 1 to 10A.
