Sycamore steps up to run ATE sales

Schaffner has appointed Colin Sycamore as UK Sales Manager for ATE products.

Schaffner has appointed Colin Sycamore as UK Sales Manager for ATE products.

This new role will include selling and supporting power electronics test systems and selling Schaffner-Electrotest cable and backplane test instruments and electro-emulation systems in the UK.

This role is expected to expand the present customer base by further developing Schaffner's wide expertise in the power electronics industry in such areas as power semiconductors, UPSs, fuel cells, motors and drives, DVT systems and emerging power electronics test requirements.

Electo-emulation testing in the automotive and rail industries is growing rapidly and dedicated sales effort is required to capitalise on this.

With over 25 years of experience in the ATE industry, the last seven being focused on power electronics, Sycamore has an extensive knowledge of the programming and fixturing requirements of automated testing.
