Schaffner will be revealing the black art of EMC at the forthcoming Drives and Controls expo.

Schaffner will be located on Stand D114 at the Birmingham NEC in May 2006.

The Wokingham based company will be bringing a GBP 25,000 demonstration unit to the exhibition to illustrate EMC effects on drive systems and what solutions are available to improve compliance, functionality and reliability.

Live demonstrations of the effects of EMC filters at the input and output of drive systems will be given on the exhibition system to small groups of prebooked visitors.

Sam Williamson, Component Sales Manager for Schaffner, comments: "This is a unique opportunity for drive system and drive system component manufacturers to see the effects of EMC demonstrated live at the show".

"It will be a great opportunity to discuss in detail the effects of EMC on power quality and system reliability and discover how effective Schaffner solutions are".

Prebooking for demonstrations is essential.

Visitors to the show can go to a specially constructed micro site within the main Schaffner website for further information and to book their session with the unit and the Schaffner EMC application engineers.
