Surface-mount polymer PTC fuses
Schurter has improved its PFMC series of polymer based 4.5 x 3.2mm PTC fuses, and renamed it the PFMD series.
Compact fuses extended to 8 and 10A ratings
Schurter has extended its MSTU and MXT 250V Microfuse ranges to include both 8 and 10A rated devices.
The fused outlet is already receiving great interest as a solution for protecting the output from power supplies and distribution units, as well as medical and industrial equipment.
The advantage of this innovation is that if the equipment supplied by the outlet fails, the protection of the fuse means that this does not result in the loss of operation of the supply unit, and so it can continue to function and supply other outlets.
The fuseholder takes 5 x 20mm fuses, and is shockproof PC2 and is rated to IP65.
The outlet features the additional protection of shutters over the live and neutral contacts, and it is available with or without indicating neon.
The live solder terminal is offset to allow for parallel busbar connection of multiple outlets, and with a wide range of snap- in panel thickness sizes available it facilitates fast and easy fitting.
The outlet requires a cut out of only 37 x 33mm, with a depth of 36.2mm, saving space on the panel and inside the unit.
The body of the 4719 inlet is made from UL94V0 thermoplastic, with solder tab terminals, other options are available on request.
The outlet is designed to comply with IEC/EN60320-2-2/F, and is available in class I or class II protection.
The fuseholder meets IEC/EN60127-6 and has a power acceptance of 1.6W at an ambient air temperature of 23C.
Devices are approved for VDE and cURus at 250V/10A. Request a free brochure from Schurter ...
