Acquisition expands EMC portfolio

Schurter has improved its PFMC series of polymer based 4.5 x 3.2mm PTC fuses, and renamed it the PFMD series.
The product range comprises chokes, network filters and customer specific SMD printed circuit board assemblies for industrial electronics and telecommunications applications.
The company's plant in Mendrisio employs 90, and its production facility in Romania over 400 people.

Schurter now has ten production companies located in Switzerland, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, India, China and now Romania, as well as seven sales companies in the USA, Italy, Sweden, the UK, Japan, Singapore and Brazil.
