Available now from Schaefer is the the C5100 Series of 5000W 3 and 5U plug-in DC/DC and AC/DC convertor modules.
Supplies power up VME-based systems
Schaefer has introduced the C4500 Series of 1600W 6U-high VME/Eurorack compatible DC/DC and AC/DC convertors.
The CW5500 Series is available in five standard DC input voltage ranges from 80-800V DC as well as three AC input voltages from 3 x 200V AC (160-230V) up to 3 x 480V AC (400-530V).
Single outputs are available in eight standard ranges from 23-400V DC.
All outputs are adjustable and fully regulated to 0.2% or better (load) and 0.1% (line).
All modules in the CW5500 Series have remote sensing (up to 150V output), overvoltage protection, and current limit protection on the output.
Efficiencies run up to 95%.
Operating temperatures available include -20 to +75C and -40 to +75C.
The units are packaged in a 5U x 19in x 600mm rack module for space savings and incorporate terminal/bolt/bar connection points.
Options available include decoupling diodes for parallel/redundant operation, "ruggedisation", inhibit, power-fail/DC-OK alarms, system reset, active current sharing and programming.
Applications include railway controls and communications equipment (onboard and trackside), military applications, fuel cell applications, transportation, telecommunication systems, process control systems and power stations.
Mechanical and electrical modifications to standard modules are readily available on request.
In addition, Schaefer can design and manufacture fully custom solutions.
Series pricing is from $10,525 per unit at 100 pieces.
Significant OEM quantity discounts are available.
Delivery is 6-8 weeks ARO.
