Supplies power up VME-based systems
Schaefer has introduced the C4500 Series of 1600W 6U-high VME/Eurorack compatible DC/DC and AC/DC convertors.

Available now from Schaefer is the the C5100 Series of 5000W 3 and 5U plug-in DC/DC and AC/DC convertor modules.
Convertor modules power up to 15kW
Schaefer has introduced the CW5500 Series of 15kW, 5U-high, 19in-wide rack style, water-cooled DC/DC and AC/DC convertor modules.
Three-phase AC input voltages of 3 x 400 (320-460) and 3 x 480V AC (400-530) are also available.
Units can be supplied with an external PFC module.
Single outputs are available in 12 ranges from 4.5 to 400V DC.
All outputs are adjustable and fully regulated to 0.2% or better (load) and 0.1% (line).
All units in the C4500 Series have remote sensing, overvoltage protection, and current limit protection on the output.
Efficiencies run up to 90%.
Operating temperatures available include -20 to +75 and -40 to +75C.
The units are packaged in a 6U x 21TE x 306mm Eurorack module for space savings and incorporate DIN41612 H15 I/O connectors.
Options available include decoupling diodes for parallel operation: "ruggedisation", inhibit, power-fail/DC-OK, system reset, active current sharing and wall mounting.
Applications include locomotive controls and communications equipment, telecommunications systems, process control systems, and power stations.
Mechanical and electrical modifications to standard modules are readily available on request.
In addition, Schaefer can design and manufacture fully custom solutions.
Series pricing begins from $1410 each at 100 pieces.
