A new extractor handle promises easy insertion and extraction of plug-in units within 19in subracks.

Schroff has developed a new extractor handle for easy insertion and extraction of plug-in units within 19in subracks The form and outer appearance of the new handle correspond to the previous model, but the mechanics have been reconstructed completely and are therefore considerably improved

The new "Type 2" handle can be fixed to the front panel with no effort at all (ie it is fastened to the front with a screw).

It fits exactly into the front cutouts, in which the IEEE handles are normally mounted.

This means, that it can be used for IEEE applications as an alternative, which is useful when some applications require more space before the front panel.

An integrated location pin guarantees optimum positioning of shielded plug-in units.

Through the new mechanics, with two lugs, the force during extraction is evenly spread.

Therefore twisting and bending of the plug-in units, in particular the connectors, is now almost impossible.

The new handle will be supplied with one order number, ready assembled, which lessens effort and costs for the user.

Apart from the usual standard, the new Type 2 handle also fulfils the demands of the European standard for onboard railway applications (EN50155).

The new handle is also available in a choice of three colours (dark grey, black and light grey).
