Horizontal cPCI systems expand to 4U
Schroff has extended its range of CompactPCI plug-in systems for horizontal board assembly, with a new 4U unit joining the existing 1, 2 and 3U systems.
One version is equipped with a 200W ATX power supply in the 1U system, or 250W in the 2 and 3U range.
All systems have an input voltage range of 100 to 240V AC and are equipped with power factor correction.
The third version is equipped with a power backplane with a slot for the assembly of a 19in CompactPCI power supply (for example 250W, 3U, 8HP).
For the 19in power supply a mains filter module with IEC inlet, a fuse and a connector are provided.
The mechanical construction is the same for all three versions and it is possible to assemble two 160mm horizontal boards in a 1U system, four in a 2U system and six in a 3U system.
Additionally there is room for horizontal 80mm deep rear-I/O boards with IEEE guide rails including ESD clips.
On the left side of the system a hot-swappable fan unit with four or two fans has been integrated, which can be pulled out from the front.
The side perforations ensure good air flow and cooling.
The CompactPCI plug-in systems are equipped with 64bit Rev 3.0 backplanes, with two, four or six slots.
All systems are shielded and powder coated black (RAL 9005).
