CompactPCI systems house up to six boards
With the control and measurement and automation market sectors in mind, Schroff has configured new CompactPCI plug-in systems in 1, 2 and 3U for horizontal 6U board assemblies.
175W and 350W supplies for CompactPCI 19in racks
Schroff, one of the industry's leading manufacturers of CompactPCI Microcomputer Packaging solutions, has unveiled a complementary range of 19" power supplies.
Cut-down prices for CPCI
Europac Integral offers all the benefits of a standard CPCI system including high stability, robustness and EMC shielding but at a far-reduced cost.
The CompactPCI system contains a continuous monolithic backplane for eight standard 6U CompactPCI boards with an integrated 3U-wide area for the power backplane.
There are four connection possibilities on the power backplane, two are designated for the installation of 19in hot-swappable CompactPCI power supplies, which can be operated either parallel or redundantly; if required two additional power supplies can be fitted.
Alternatively, the area below the power supplies can be used for the assembly of further components, such as hard discs etc.
In a 4U system there is room for eight horizontal 160mm deep boards.
The system slot is located at the bottom left, which allows to use double width (8HP) CPUs.
Additionally, there is space in the rear area for horizontal 80mm deep rear I/O boards with IEEE guide rails inclusive of ESD clips.
On the left side of the system there is an integrated hot-swappable cooling unit with four low-noise fans.
The chassis is perforated to give a 75% open area to ensure extremely good air flow for cooling.
As an option, three further fans can be installed in the rear I/O area for cooling.
Additionally the integration of a fan control is possible.
Through the new design these CompactPCI systems are particularly space saving, apart from being very competitively priced.
The 4U systems with horizontal board assembly save not only costs, but also 3U of system assembly height.
All CompactPCI plug-in systems of this series are powder coated black (RAL 9005).
