Enclosure handles tough applications
Schroff 's 12-slot VME64x meets the needs of tough military and transportation applications.
Schroff has introduced the 12-slot VME64x system, aimed at applications in demanding environments where the use of COTS equipment is becoming more prevalent, particularly in the transportation and military sectors Designed to accommodate 6U-high boards vertically in a 7U-high shielded subrack, the new system provides 12 front slots for 160mm-deep boards, as well as three rear slots for 4HP transition modules

Schroff, one of the industry's leading manufacturers of CompactPCI Microcomputer Packaging solutions, has unveiled a complementary range of 19" power supplies.
The system includes a 12-slot VME64x backplane in accordance with VITA 1.1-1997, two IEEEguide rails with ESD clips for each of the 12 front slots, a 600W multiple-output open-frame PSU with an input range of 100 to 240V AC, three speed-controlled fans on a hinged rear panel, and a display module incorporating LED status indicators.
Finished in a new colour combination of anthracite grey (RAL 7016) and white aluminium (RAL 9006), the VME64x system has been designed in accordance with international standards IEC60297-3-101, -102 and -103, as well as IEEE1101.1, 1101.10 and 1101.11.
