The 72xx card family is billed as a unique system solution for universal pattern generation.

The 72xx card family is billed as a unique system solution for universal pattern generation.

The cards can be used in chip, printer and display production tests as well as in research and development.

The main differentiating factor of the new 72xx series compared with standard digital pattern generators is the ability to program low and high level signals with 10mV resolution.

For each of the four channels the levels can be individually programmed between -2 and +10V.

The full output swing is available with all sampling rates with no restrictions.

The cards come with powerful output drivers allowing a high output current up to 100mA per channel (200mA total over four channels).

The new 72xx series from Spectrum can be directly connected to several different logic families like ECL, PECL, TLL, LVDS, LVTTL, CMOS and LVCMOS and is also able to test parts to their voltage limits.

In addtion to these functions it is also possible to set the channels to a differential mode in hardware.

With this mode the user only needs one databit for each pair of differential signals.

The cards are available with sampling rates up to 40Msample/s and with 16 and 32 channels.

There are a total of 10 different versions available for PCI, PXI and CompactPCI 6U bus.

All features that are known from other Spectrum cards are also available with the 72xx series.

These features include large onboard memory (up to 512Mbyte), continuous output with fast FIFO mode, external trigger input or external clocking with reference clock.

The cards of the new 72xx series are in production now and are delivered with drivers for Windws and Linux.

Optional drivers are available for LabView, DasyLab, Matlab, Agilent VEE or LabWindows/CVI.
