LabView drivers make the most of board
range

Spectrum has produced all-new LabView drivers for its M2i series of fast PCI/PCI-X cards.

Spectrum has produced all-new LabView drivers for its M2i series of fast PCI/PCI-X cards This fourth generation of PC instruments contains digitisers starting with 16 channels, 16bit resolution and 100Ksample/s sampling rate up to versions with 12bit resolution and 200Msample/s, arbitrary waveform generators (AWG) with up to 125Msample/s and digital I/O cards with up to 125Msample/s

The memory of these cards can be upgraded up to 4Gbyte.

The LabView drivers are based on the standard Spectrum Windows drivers and consist of a set of LabView libraries and a special DLL for easy and fast data handling.

For a fast start of application development a wide range of examples is delivered with each driver showing the different modes of the cards.

All examples as well as the LabView libraries are free to edit and can therefore be adjusted and enhanced to individual demands.

The drivers also cater for hardware or feature enhancements: the complete Spectrum API is directly supported, allowing users to access all card features under LabView.

All LabView library functions and internal card driver functions support error routing, allowing users to see any programming or sequence error as a detailed text message.

Powerful examples make it easy to program different standard applications within minutes.

The examples include a soft scope, long term data acquisition, online signal generator as well as the addressing of the complete onboard memory.

The special data handling DLL that is delivered with the LabView driver makes access to data very easy.

Data can be read out as raw data, sorted and normalised as 16bit integer or even completely recalculated to voltage values.

The LabView driver is optimised for high data bandwidth and is able to receive a maximum transfer speed between card onboard memory and PC memory of up to 200Mbyte/s (raw data).

The Spectrum M2i cards can be used with all LabView versions starting with version 6.1. Request a free brochure from Spectrum Systementwicklung Microelectronic ...
