Especially designed for low-power operation, the MID platform will allow consumers to watch mobile TV for 8 to 20h (depending on the broadcast technology) before their device runs out of battery.

"Siano's SMS1000 provides high quality, wide-coverage mobile TV, and coupled with Intel's ultra mobile silicon solutions, enable innovative form factors with long battery life".
The Siano SMS1000 is thought to be the industry's only low-cost, ultralow-power, quad-band multistandard receiver in mass production.
It supports DVB-H, DVB-T, DAB, DAB-IP and T-DMB mobile digital standards, in various spectrum ranges, from 170 up to 1680MHz.
