Hardware development and simulation for
FPGAs
Embedded tools and software specialist will exhibit hardware-development platforms for a range of Altera FPGA's and a new simulation technology, which will shorten development time.
Embedded tools and software specialist, SDC Systems, is to exhibit and present a new range of FPGA development technology at the Embedded Masterclass on the 3rd May Consisting of hardware development platforms for a range of Altera FPGA's and a new simulation technology, SDC claims that this new FPGA technology will shorten development time and offer higher design security for lower cost

"We will be introducing SEmulation", says Stuart Parker, Managing Director of SDC Systems.
"SEmulation, simulator-controlled emulation, combines these two steps and allows the step-by-step transfer of the functional blocks from the simulator (software) into the FPGA (hardware), without leaving the simulation environment and thus shortening the development time".
More often, the simulation and emulation environments are separate and not always compatible, which may result in wasted engineering time getting simulated code to run in the emulator environment.
Using the SEmulator, SDC expect mistakes and insecurities to be eliminated as simulation takes place in the target hardware.
The SEmulator also allows the engineer to introduce any external component into the simulation (also known as "hardware in the loop").
For the developer, this means functional first silicon, with a reduction of development costs, as well as an increased responsiveness to market requirements.
"In addition to this powerful simulation/emulation technology, we will be exhibiting a range of FPGA hardware development platforms", says Parker.
"We will have an expert FPGA engineer from the German design team available to meet with delegates at the event, should delegates wish to explore this technology in detail".
"It's an exciting new technology, so should be of interest to engineers currently working with FPGA's or looking towards this technology for future projects".
The Embedded Masterclass is a one-day event that brings the developers of hi-tech products together with the vendors of development tools, hardware and software.
It is free to register for engineers and project managers within hi-tech companies.
There will be an agenda of technical presentations and a tabletop exhibition.
