European partners to join nanotech
network
Semiconductor 2006 will see the International Alliance of Nanotechnology Regions sign a formal agreement with its first European network partners, JEMI UK and JEMI France.
Clare Cromie O'Toole, Vice-President of the International Alliance of Nanotechnology Regions, (IANRegions), a not for profit organisation dedicated to creating and sustaining a global network of nanotechnology hubs, will attend Semiconductor 2006 in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Thursday 8th June to sign a formal agreement with the alliance's first European network partners, JEMI UK and JEMI France The primary focus of the IANRegions Network will be to support the growth of nanotechnology industries through the establishment of public and private sector best practices for workforce development, education, technology acceleration and regulatory frameworks

"The IANRegions global network will give us access to the global marketing and funding opportunities that we need to succeed".
Jacques Perrocheau, CEO of JEMI France added: "We need to create global distribution pathways for our SMEs so that they can promote their technologies at home and abroad".
"This international alliance will be key to opening new market opportunities".
"With over 20 regional hubs of nanotechnology worldwide, I think there is a real need to create a more formal connection between these nanotechnology regions, both for the advancement of the industry overall and to help industry SMEs market their technologies globally", explained LaMar Hill, President and CEO of IANRegions.
