Seiko Instruments has two new families of ultra-low power consumption comparators, the S-892xxA and S-8953xA/B series.

Seiko Instruments has two new families of ultra-low power consumption comparators, the S-892xxA and S-8953xA/B series Packaged in the SC-88A casing, both ICs are designed for low current consumption, making them perfect for battery-operated applications such as cellular phones, PDAs, digital video cameras, notebook PCs, digital cameras and portable audio devices

The S-8953xA/B also comes in 8-pin SON(A) packaging.

The S-8953xA/B series is a CMOS comparator that features rail-to-rail input/output, 0.9V low-voltage operation and an ultra-low current consumption of 0.7uA (typical).

It also has a low input offset voltage of 5.0mV (max) for the S-89530A/B and 10mV (max) for the S-89531A/B.

The S-8953xA has one comparator and the S-8953xB is a dual comparator.

The S-892xxA features low operating voltage (1.8 to 5.5V), low current consumption (50 or 10uA), and low input offset voltage (4.0mV max).

Pricing for the S-8953xA and S-892xxA begins at $0.43 and $0.30 each in quantities of 12,000 for SC-88A packaging, respectively.

The S-8953xB in the SON(A) packaging, begins at $0.65 each in quantities of 12,000.
