Moynihan brings broad EDA experience
Silicon Navigator has appointed Kevin Moynihan as its Chief Operating Officer, reporting to George Janac, Chief Executive Officer.
Silicon Navigator has appointed Kevin Moynihan as its Chief Operating Officer, reporting to George Janac, Chief Executive Officer.
Moynihan, a former business unit vice president at KLA-Tencor, brings a broad background of EDA experience in pioneering new technologies and businesses to Silicon Navigator.
"We are ready to aggressively pursue our business model of licensing design components based on the OpenAccess database", said George Janac, CEO.
"Kevin's experience in building new technology companies and software licensing is key to our next phase of growth".
"Silicon Navigator has a unique approach to open systems providing customers with a powerful system to maximise their CAD investment while improving design productivity and interoperability", added Moynihan.
"I'm looking forward to expanding the adoption of the Silicon Navigator OpenAccess-based technology and licensing model".
Moynihan has extensive experience in business and technical roles in EDA and semiconductor design.
Prior to KLA-Tencor, Moynihan was Vice President of Marketing for Gradient Design Automation.
Before Gradient, he held several executive positions at Cadence Design Systems, most recently Vice President of Business Development.
He joined Cadence with the acquisition of High Level Design Systems where he had been Vice President of Technical Services.
He has also held technical and marketing positions at AMD, Mentor Graphics, ESL and Lockheed.
He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BS in computer and information science from The Ohio State University.
