The new chipset comprises a single-channel driver/comparator/load pin electronics device (the E720), a four-channel parametric measurement unit (the E4707) and a 64-level DAC (the E6420).
The E720 is an integrated high-accuracy 500MHz driver/comparator/load device.
The driver is tristatable and is capable of 9V swings over a 12V range, with the ability to drive 13V Flash supervoltage programming levels.
The load supports programmable source and sink currents of +/-35mA.
This device features an extremely low leakage mode (less than 50nA total for combined driver, comparator and load) for customers who need to eliminate isolation relays.
The device is packaged in a small footprint, 10 x 10mm, 52 EdQuad, TQFP package, with exposed heat slug for optimised cooling.
The E4707 is a four-channel low-power parametric measurement unit that provides force voltage, force current, measure voltage, and measure current functions.
The device can measure or force voltages over a 13V range and supports four current ranges: 2, 200, 20 and +/-2mA.
Onboard window comparators are included for pass-fail testing.
This unit is available in a small 12 x 12mm, 180 BGA package.
The E6420 per-pin electronics companion DAC incorporates 64 DACs per package - 44 for voltage output and 20 for current output.
The device features 13bit resolution (for most DACs), supervoltage output levels, an adjustable full scale range setting, as well as an adjustable voltage offset setting.
The DAC is optimised to provide all voltages and currents required for four channels of the pin electronics and the per-pin parametric measurement units offered in this chipset.
The inclusion of 64 DACs in a single package offers an extremely high density, flexible solution.
This device is provided in a 13 x 13mm, 144 BGA package.
