Sequoia has entered into a new UK channel partnership agreement with Acterna UK.

The agreement considerably broadens the relationship, with a view to tripling the volume of business handled by Sequoia, while providing Acterna with access to a wider market.

Commenting on the move, Peter Collingwood, Acterna's VP of Sales, North EMEA, said, "Our extended relationship with Sequoia will help us to improve our customer focus, and extend our customer reach.

The agreement builds on from a two year partnership, and is in line with Acterna's global corporate objective to increase our market coverage through our channel business".

Tony Walker, Telecoms Director, Sequoia, added, "Acterna has an outstanding reputation globally for the quality and performance of its communications instrumentation technologies.

We believe we are able to match these solutions with expert customer support, enabling customers to drive their business forward and reduce their costs".

Under the agreement, Sequoia will now support Acterna's full suite of hardware and software solutions, and services for customers involved in the development, manufacture, installation and maintenance of optical transport, access and data networks.

Sequoia's sales team has been expanded to include technical sales specialists dedicated to promoting the Acterna portfolio.
