setcom has developed a comprehensive portfolio of EGPRS conformance test cases.

setcom has developed a comprehensive portfolio of EGPRS conformance test cases.

The range of test cases covers all critical test areas of protocol stack migration from GPRS to EGPRS, such as these related to MAC/RLC and LLC.

Additionally, a rich set of more than 350 GPRS conformance standard test cases complements setcom's value proposition to the wireless test community for GSM evolution path towards 2.5G.

setcom's own developments of ETSI/3GPP TS 51.010-1 compliant GPRS test cases have been successfully implemented onto Rohde and Schwarz CRTx series and Racal Instruments 6103 AIME test platforms.

setcom's OEM software products are available in the form of test packages of tested and validated conformance test cases.

Also engineering versions of verified test cases are available on request directly from setcom prior to the physical implementation and official release.

This offers a critical competitive lead of 3-6 months ahead of their availability in the general market and gives the possibility of testing the mobile station under development while using the newest versions of test cases.

The aftermarket and maintenance services are also provided by setcom.

setcom's IP portfolio includes an application programming interface, S-API, used for hardware-independent porting of test cases.

setcom's value proposition addresses major 2G, 2.5G and 3G standards.

setcom's EGPRS S-API is industry first EGPRS test case library.

By accommodating also all GPRS test cases, EGPRS S-API offers full backward support of GPRS protocol testing as well.

Maciej Kowalik, setcom's Director of Marketing and Sales commented: "Our teams are developing cutting-edge technologies for test solutions and we have a clear roadmap and a substantial know-how to resolve an array of problems our customers face".
