Test cases check GPRS interoperability issues
Setcom has developed a broad line of GPRS interoperability simulation (IOST) test cases which can be implemented on a standard GPRS protocol test system.
The S-CAT 6000 includes all the functionality of the S-CAT 5000 series, using setcom's Operating SW and 1000+ Test Cases, but now includes further flexibility and support for a wider range of R and D functionality, delivering a true R and D testing environment as well as a proven conformance testing platform.
With the S-CAT 6000 series' internal RF modules all mobile multimedia and GAN test cases can be performed.
Besides testing over its internal RF modules, external RF units can be configured to address even more demanding and complex test scenarios.
Like the S-CAT 5000 series, the S-CAT 6000 series seamlessly integrates with a wide range of external equipment, enabling testing over RF bearers such as GSM/GPRS, EGPRS, WCDMA, UMA/GAN, CDMA 2000, LTE and TD-SCDMA.
"The internal RF capability of the S-CAT 6000 series provides an avenue for customers to test mobile device functionality from the radio layer right the way through to the control, service and application layers without the large expense of an external network simulator".
"Having internal GSM/GPRS, EGPRS, WCDMA and GAN capability for mobile engineers who do not require all the measurement capability of existing RF network simulators, means that the S-CAT 6000 provides an easy to use and cost-effective solution for testing handovers, mobile applications and signalling protocols" said Peter Lund, President Worldwide Sales of setcom.
