The RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive has created tremendous complexity throughout the electronics supply chain worldwide.
Manufacturers worldwide are expected to transition all of their parts to RoHS compliant versions, or face huge penalties as well as jeopardise their ability to sell their products internationally.
Specifically, RoHS bans the use of certain substances, such as lead and mercury, above designated concentration levels.
Sea View Technologies of Exeter, New Hampshire has not only embraced this major change but has committed to helping customers and suppliers worldwide understand and interpret these directives and their requirements and develop overall environmental-compliance strategies of their own.
"The positive feedback we have received from participants has been extremely rewarding", said June Pinkham, Environmental and Quality Director.
"The participants and presenters all worked together to share information on these ever-changing initiatives, so it was a 'meeting of the minds' and a wealth of information was shared by all".
"Everyone should be congratulated for their commitment to keeping up with and adhering to these complex initiatives".
Future events continue to be planned and will be announced by Sea View Technologies shortly.
