Hauptmann started his career as a design engineer, and subsequently worked for more than a decade as an application/test engineer in the semiconductor industry for leading semiconductor ATE suppliers Advantest and Teradyne.
After this strong background in testing semiconductors, he changed to the sales side of the assembled board testing industry.
Over the past 15 years he has worked in sales management roles for leading ATE suppliers in this market, including GenRad and Orbotech.
