Shindengen is targeting the latest generation of home entertainment, communications and networking equipment with a new range of step-down DC/DC convertors which require no heatsink.

Shindengen is targeting the latest generation of home entertainment, communications and networking equipment with a new range of step-down DC/DC convertors which require no heatsink and a minimum of external components, making them ideal for incorporation in slimline designs.

The MD range can deliver output voltages from 0.8 to 14V at up to 5A from a supply voltage of between 8 and 57V and are available in compact 28-pin HSOP or 32-pin SSOP forms.

The devices are multi chip modules using a matched mosfet/Schottky or mosfet/mosfet combination for switching and regulation, managed by a custom controller to achieve optimised drive.

The devices deliver high efficiency, typically 90%, across the output range with a low rate of efficiency drop off under load.

All MD series convertors feature over current and thermal shutdown protection.

Variable output, switch able output and remotely controlled versions are available.

The MD range is available now in production volumes, please contact Shindengen for pricing and samples.
