Shipley Europe has won the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise, for its outstanding achievement in international trade.

Shipley Europe has won the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise, for its outstanding achievement in international trade The company is one of just 76 in the UK to win an award in the international trade category of the competition, which recognises the best of British industry

Shipley is a leader in the manufacture and supply of photolithographic and ancillary products to the demanding microelectronics industry as well as imaging technology, specialist chemicals and proprietary plating process additives to the printed circuit board, connector and semiconductor packaging and finishing industries.

The company sells in 40 countries worldwide and has grown its overseas business by more than 40% in the last three years.

Commenting on the achievement, Patrice Barthelmes, President, Shipley Europe said: "We are honoured to receive this accolade of the Queen's Award.

It is something of which we can all be proud, as a key recognition of our achievements as a team".

He continues: "Our international success is all about understanding the geographical macro-economy of our industry and the local needs of the markets in which we operate.
