With an international membership, CEPCA is a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to ensure the coexistence of powerline communication technologies (PLC) for the home.
The alliance is working towards the development of technical specifications enabling coexistence between in-home PLC systems and between access and in-home PLC systems.
"With so much momentum behind powerline communication, there's a real need for global consensus on a PLC coexistence standard", said Stead.
"It's the essential route to reliability and sustained consumer confidence and the only means by which power utility service calls can be reduced and CE product returns minimised".
