To allow greater flexibility in front panel designs, Schurter now offers a range of piezo switches with variable housing shapes.

To allow greater flexibility in front panel designs, Schurter now offers a range of piezo switches with variable housing shapes.

Piezo switches have an outstanding track record in applications such as vending machines and information systems.

The key benefits of piezo switches include high operating life as well as resistance to external influences and rough environmental conditions.

The designer can now choose from a choice of rectangular, square, triangular and elliptical housings, in addition to the conventional round shape.

The body is available in either aluminium or stainless steel.

With these new shapes, Schurter reckons it can provide new alternatives for the design of robust and vandalproof user interface systems.
