The new 3Mpixel SCD 21310 flat panel display from Siemens Automation and Drives (A and D) produces up to 400cd/m2 for increased brightness and high-contrast, making it ideal for a wide range of medical applications The high-resolution 21in display is suitable for colour displays, as well as hybrid applications with colour and grey-scale displays

Siemens is the only manufacturer to offer constant luminance over a typical service life of 10,000 hours, the equivalent of approximately five years.

In addition, the backlighting of the new display has an even more impressive service life of 50kh.

The monitor is precalibrated at the factory and has fully automated stability in compliance with the Dicom (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine) standard.

Constant luminance is ensured by the additional integrated stability system (ISS) by means of a photosensor in the centre of the backlighting.

This sensor is automatically calibrated when the display is calibrated.

With five preset, practice-orientated lookup tables (LUTs), the display can be adapted to local lighting conditions and then automatically calibrated.

The stored calibration data simplifies installation and maintenance, even if the graphics settings are retained.

To guarantee constant picture quality - an important prerequisite for accurate medical diagnoses - SMfit ACT Basics parameterisation software automatically monitors the 3Mpixel SCD 21310 flat panel display and immediately indicates when its stability is no longer guaranteed.

All display parameters can be set with the software and is supported by a simple and intuitive interface.
