SiGe Semiconductor has expanded its business and engineering teams with the addition of 12 staff, with an average of 16 years experience in senior design, applications and business development positions.
The team brings to SiGe Semiconductor extensive experience using silicon germanium process technology to enhance performance and reduce power consumption of power amplifiers and other RF circuits used in consumer applications.
Their strong track record from companies such as IBM, Bell Laboratories and Raytheon will reinforce SiGe Semiconductor's position as a market leading power amplifier supplier.
"We are very excited about the new Boston office and creating another centre for world-class design", said Jim Derbyshire, President and CEO, SiGe Semiconductor.
"Leveraging their expertise will increase our range of next-generation power amplifiers which will hit the market during the next 18 months".
The office is now open, and includes a fully equipped lab for design, test and applications development.
The office is located north of Boston in Methuen, Massachusetts.
