SiGe Semiconductor has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Gary Jameson as the new Director of Sales and Field Applications Europe.

Jameson will manage sales, field application support and distribution channels across Europe from the company's office in London.

"We are pleased to add Gary to our sales force", said Bill Haberlin, Vice President of Sales, SiGe Semiconductor.

"He has substantial experience working with our strategic accounts, as well as background in application design for semiconductors used in cellular handsets and Bluetooth systems.

This will be invaluable as we continue to expand our market share in this region".

Jameson brings to SiGe Semiconductor 18 year of experience in sales, marketing and field application support for semiconductors and wireless systems.

Prior to joining SiGe Semiconductor, Jameson served as the Regional Marketing Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Zarlink Semiconductor (formerly Mitel Semiconductor), where he managed strategic accounts using the company's cellular, Bluetooth and digital television components.

During his career, Jameson also held sales and applications engineering positions at Marconi Electronic Devices, Marconi Command and Control Systems, and Marconi Space and Defence Systems.
