Sight signs for Commell's platforms

Sight Systems has concluded an agreement with Commell the Industrial Computer Division of Taiwan Commate Computers.

The company will now recommend Commell single board computers and chassis as an option for its custom-build systems.

A recent product from Sight Systems that benefits from this agreement is a 1U rack mounting system that incorporates two 300W ATX power supplies and two Commell mini-ITX motherboards.

Mini-ITX is a small motherboard providing an embedded applied computing platform to enable the production of low cost, space-saving computers and servers.

Thus one slim package features two separate, high specification computers with two separate hard drives, independent power supplies and two separate CD-ROMs.

Craig Blackman, General Manager of Sight Systems, says that the company is not only impressed by the extensive range of full-size, half-size, embedded and industrial computing platforms offered by Commell but also by its wide range of industrial computer chassis which will complement those manufactured in-house.
