International Rectifier has selected Memec to provide technical sales, marketing, distribution and logistics globally as an extension of its existing sales and support channels.

Memec has offices in more than 30 countries, including Japan, and 130 cities.

Robert Grant, International Rectifier's Executive Vice President of Sales and Corporate Marketing, said: "This relationship will strengthen our position in target markets, utilising our expanding proprietary product portfolio".

"Together, we can deliver innovative power management solutions to a broad base of customers".

IR power management solutions will be sold through Insight Memec in Europe.
