Now available from Transtector Systems is the I2R ICP series of surge suppressors It is designed for lower amperage use in individual circuit and equipment protection and marks the extension to the already successful I2R series of modular silicon and silicon/MOV surge suppressors for service panels and cabinets

"With the I2R ICP surge suppressor we worked to balance form and function", said Mark Hendricks, Director of Engineering at Transtector.

"It's one of the smallest surge protectors available with this high degree of suppression capability and adaptable configuration".

The I2R ICP surge suppressors feature many of the same design innovations that give the entire I2R series its flexibility: multiple mounting options, simple hot-swap, plug-in suppression modules, a compact footprint and remote status monitoring capability.

AC as well as DC models are available, which meet IEC specifications and are UL approved.

AC models feature phase-interchangeable suppression modules and are available for both 120 and 240V circuits.

DC models are available for 12, 24 and 48V.

Designed for IEEE location categories and exposure ratings of B3/C1, the I2R ICP is ideal for communications hubs, digital loop carriers, lower amperage integrated cabinets, power panels or load centres.
