Low impedance for surge protectors
The PDS Series is a new line of surge protection devices for the data lines of oil and gas sensors, metering devices and transmitters.
RASTA technology is used as a fast-acting element to dissipate the EMP strike.
It is based on advanced silicon avalanche diode technology which offers the fastest response of any of the available surge protection technologies; it also achieves the safest voltage protection level and is non-degrading.
RASTA combines patented surface mount avalanche diodes in a super cell, delivering a highly efficient, high current first stage EMP protection element.
Transtector incorporates RASTA elements in custom-built EMP/HEMP surge protection designs that also include other elements - such as flex circuit for low inductance, shielding for clean/dirty signal separation, inductive filtering for noise rejection and second stage clean-up circuitry - to deliver a complete solution.
Applications include datacommunications lines, military vehicles and satellite communications equipment.
