Signametrics' world's first function generator is integrated into their multi function measurement instrument for PXI, PCI and VXI Platforms.

The most versatile measurement instrument has just been upgraded to include a function generator.

Signametrics engineers have just completed a significant enhancement to their popular multi-function measurement instrument, the 7.5 digit SMX2064.

A function generator was added, consisting of a pulse and a sine waves sources with 20V p-p.

The pulse generator can generate a burst up to 60,000 pulses, or a continuous signal with 1us resolution.

A sine wave of 1Hz to 200kHz can be generated with 2mHz resolution.

Additional two auxiliary inputs were also added, facilitating simultaneous DCV measurements from three sources, making it practical to stimulate and measure a Load-Cell.

The SMX2064 is the most versatile plug-in DMM available.

In addition to the standard measurements such as VDC, VAC, IDC, IAC, 2-wire and 4-wire resistance, it has a built in leakage tester capable of few pA and +/-10V, a super fast capacitance down to a fraction of pf, a microohm meter practical to a faction of milli ohm, and a guarded gigaohm meter with over 10 gigaohm range.

It also sports, precise 1us trigger function, temperature, time and frequency measurements, not to mension a fast Inductance meter.

Further functionality includes an in-circuite guarding function, the type found in expensive In-Circuit testers.

This is the short list of functions that come standard with this instrument.

Considering its high throughput, this instrument is a perfect choice for component and assembly production testing.
