Large-format displays for signage applications such as display panels in airports feature a high contrast ratio of up to 1800:1 and a reaction time of 6ms.

Sharp Microelectronics Europe is expanding its display portfolio for e-signage applications to include two new large-format models: the 46in LK460D3LZ19 and the 52in LK520D3LZ19 These displays have been specifically developed for signage applications such as display panels in airports, railway stations, shopping centres or casinos and are part of Sharp's growing portfolio of large-format displays

Both new products are characterised by a high contrast ratio of up to 1800:1 and a reaction time of 6ms.

They offer full HD resolution and a wide viewing angle of up to 176 degrees thanks to Sharp's specially developed Advanced Super View (ASV) technology.

"With our range of large-format displays, we offer high-quality products that meet the special requirements of the growing e-signage market", says Andreas Niemann, Product Marketing Manager for LCD Mobile, Consumer and Industrial at Sharp Microelectronics Europe.

Sharp's portfolio of large-format displays currently consists of four products: one 46in and one 52in in horizontal format as well as two 65in displays, one in horizontal and one in portrait format.

By the end of this year, the portfolio is to be expanded to include two additional 46 and 52in displays in portrait format.

Samples of the new modules LK460D3LZ19 and LK520D3LZ19 as well as the existing LK645D3LZ29 and LK645D3LZ2U 64.5in modules are available on request via Sharp sales offices and distribution partners.

Series production has already started.
