Sumitomo Electric Interconnect Products (Suzhou), SEI's Chinese affiliate, will work toward offering high-quality and price-competitive products in this region.
SEI is globally expanding its business of electronic wires and cables for home appliance and information equipment applications.
In recent years, as major electronic wire and cable customers such as home appliance manufacturers and wiring harness manufacturers have shifted their production to mainland China, SEI has expanded its production capabilities in this region.
In addition, SEI has grown to meet the demand for environment-friendly materials, such as halogen-free wire, which remains safe even when burned.
Sumitomo Electric Industries, with gross annual sales in excess of US $13.6 billion, recorded global automotive sales wiring and components of more than US $5.6 billion in fiscal 2003.
SEI will continue to expand its capacity to develop and manufacture electronic wire products in mainland China and work towards offering the highest quality and most competitively priced products in the region.
