Global role for Carlson

Robert C (Bob) Carlson Jr has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President of Global Marketing at Siemon.

Robert C (Bob) Carlson Jr has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President of Global Marketing at Siemon.

Carlson has been with Siemon for over ten years and has continually excelled in positions of increasing responsibility.

Starting his career at Siemon as an engineer in 1992, Carlson quickly showed real promise - designing many new products and securing several patents for the company and soon was promoted to Senior Engineer.

Recognising his significant accomplishments and his understanding of market needs, Siemon promoted Carlson to Marketing Manager in 1997.

In 2000 Carlson moved from marketing into sales, taking responsibility for US Sales of Siemon cabling products and was named National Sales Manager.

He was elected an officer of the company in September 2001 and became Vice President of National Sales (US) before being named Vice President for Sales for North America in February 2003.

Carlson has also served as a leader helping to guide Siemon towards its goal of becoming a true global operation.

He holds a BSME degree from the University of New Haven in the USA.

In his new role, Carlson will have direct global responsibility for marketing communications, product line management, market management and customer support services and report directly to Carl N Siemon, President of the company.
