A SMSC product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Jun 19, 2006

Network analysis tool provides a graphical overview of a complete MOST network at a glance.

SMSC has announced a new version of its MOST network analysis tool, MOST Radar V3, which now supports the newly introduced intelligent network interface controller (INIC) architecture.

Its features offer improved usability and more customisation for varied applications.

MOST Radar V3 provides a graphical overview of the complete MOST network at a glance.

It depicts all devices integrated in the MOST Network as blocks at their real location.

Each block displays the name of the device, the device type and detailed device information such as node address, node position address and group address.

In addition, MOST Radar V3 offers a more detailed view of specific device properties and the allocation status of ports, sockets and connections.

MOST Radar V3 is able to support mixed networks with devices containing the OS8104/OS8104A and INIC.

Access to the MOST Network is facilitated via a MOST PCI board, a red OptoLyzer interface box or the new OptoLyzer G2.

Various MOST speed grades and physical layers are supported.
