Taiyo Yuden's extensive module lineup offers a range of options, giving designers the flexibility to use high or low integration architecture for their Bluetooth solution, depending on their requirements in terms of system cost, size and performance.
Options include discrete or integrated antennas, USB or UART interface and CDMA interface, plus software and firmware options including the serial communications profile SPP integrated on-chip.
With this range of solutions, a highly optimised embedded solution is easily achievable.
Full development support includes evaluation boards and software evaluation kits.
RoHS-compliant packages are also available in selected configurations, with further RoHS-compliant products scheduled for 2005.
New additions are imminent including longer range Bluetooth Class 1 modules and support for the Intel WCS Phase-II Coexistence specification, which allows both Bluetooth and IEEE802.11b/g wireless LAN technology to operate simultaneously on the same platform.
The result allows optimised throughput for wireless applications on platforms such as notebook PCs.
