At Embedded World 2005 in Nuremburg next February Silicon Laboratories will demonstrate its exciting new short-range wireless technology based on 802.15.4 and ZigBee.

At Embedded World 2005 in Nuremburg, Germany, 22nd-24th February 2005, Silicon Laboratories will demonstrate its exciting new short-range wireless technology based on 802.15.4 and ZigBee as well as its innovative direct sensor interface technology enabling flicker free resolution in small signal instrumentation applications Silicon Laboratories' ZigBee demonstration will showcase the company's 2.4 GHz ZigBee development kit, a flexible six-node system that allows customers to easily evaluate and integrate ZigBee wireless mesh networking

Silicon Laboratories' ZigBee-ready solutions leverage precision mixed-signal MCUs that combine high-precision analogue peripherals and a high-throughput (up to 100MIPS) 8051 CPU with 128Kbyte of Flash memory.

The company's ZigBee development kit enables cost-effective remote monitoring, sensing and control via low-power wireless platforms for a wide range of wireless automation, industrial, medical, residential monitoring and control applications.

Silicon Laboratories will also demonstrate its direct sensor interface technology in a new electronic compass reference design based on the C8051F350.

This system on a chip (SoC) includes, an eight-channel, 24bit analogue-to-digital convertor (ADC) coupled with a best in class 8051-compatible CPU delivering up to 50MIPS performance.

Silicon Laboratories' demonstration will showcase precision measurement of tilt and inclination while offering a direct small signal interface that eliminates external amplifiers, bias circuitry and compensation schemes to vastly simplify design and eliminate noise.
