Hoff brings experience to European role

Prior to joining Silicon Laboratories, Hoff served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Cognio, a leading spectrum management company, where he raised more than $25 million in US and European venture capital.
Hoff also managed the operations and sales of C-Port Corp, the wholly owned network processor subsidiary acquired by Motorola in May 2000.
Additionally, Hoff spent 10 years at AMD in sales where he managed operations of $500 million servicing large communications multinationals such as Lucent, Nortel and Alcatel.
Hoff holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Illinois.
