The SiI9024 transmitter is intended for use in mobile devices designed to carry premium content and incorporates an integrated high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) engine and keys that enable the secure distribution of content between HDMI -enabled devices.
The SiI9022 and the SiI9024 are each offered with speeds of 85 and 165MHz.
The SiI9022EBU and SiI9024EBU operate at 85MHz and can support resolutions of up to 720p and 1080i.

Input processor eases HDTV redesigns
The PinnaClear SiI9155 divides the primary DTV electronics into two highly integrated parts: the input processor and the display processor.
The SiI9022EBU6 and SiI9024EBU6 operate at 165MHz and can support resolutions up to 1080p and UXGA (1600 x 1200 pixels).
The transmitters help reduce system BOM costs with an integrated on-chip consumer electronics control (CEC) function, a universal remote control feature typically implemented with the added cost of an external microcontroller.

The SiI9022 HDMI transmitters are intended for use in mobile devices that support consumer-generated content, such as digital cameras, camcorders and camera/video enabled mobile phones.
Low power consumption enables improved battery life in mobile devices and allows dramatically longer HD video playback time when connected to HDTVs.
By significantly reducing power consumption, these transmitters also increase reliability by reducing excessive heat.
Customers that use the new transmitters will significantly reduce the amount of design effort needed to dissipate heat inside small, closed mobile devices.
The SiI9024 HDMI transmitters are intended for use in portable media players and mobile phones that are designed to carry premium content and offer all the features of the SiI9022, but also include an integrated HDCP engine and keys.
Having this dedicated hardware engine eliminates the software complexity that usually accompanies HDCP implemented with a separate microcontroller.
By moving much of the HDCP authentication from software to hardware, the SiI9024 increases the robustness of HDCP implementations by eliminating timing-critical events from software.
The integrated HDCP keys also remove external EEPROM costs which would otherwise be passed on to consumers.
Customers already using the existing SiI9020 will enjoy seamless integration, as the software for the SiI9022 and SiI9024 are fully compatible with their predecessor.
This will allow customers to migrate their designs to accommodate the new transmitters and provide fast time to market; thereby providing immediate access to the benefits of lower power, reduced costs and more robust CEC and HDCP implementations.
