Compact, high performance three phase UPS system
Socomec Sicon UPS has introduced the Delphys DS, a compact, high performance three phase UPS system, rated from 80 - 200kVA, with an excellent performance/size ratio.
Maintaining power supplies within precise limits, whatever the quality of the supply; the new system incorporates distribution circuits to supply customer's power requirements.
Unlike commercial grade UPS's, the Star 2000 range complies fully and works from a generator source and, if required, converts incompatible shore supplies.
It can also supply power to customer's loads, as a cold start from batteries, in the absence of main supplies.
Based on the latest Socomec 5kVA Plurys DSP the new UPS features custom warning alarms, and serial data links for remote communication and interrogation of operating conditions.
Supplied in a self-contained, lockable, cubicle, it is an on-line double conversion UPS System that gives a stable supply of power by means of a complex microprocessor.
This is achieved by digital signal processing controlling the electrical values directly and providing precision and stability of the output power.
The input supply is power factor corrected, and when combined with high efficiency, will provide power in autonomy of 30 minutes.
System back up is provided by Avel's worldwide network of service centres, whose facilities include 24-hour on-call engineers, free technical telephone support and maintenance contracts which can be tailored to meet individual customer requirements.
With over 100 marine applications supplied in the last year, Avel are ideally placed to service this demanding market.
