Novel tool cuts GDSII data down to size
SoftJin Technologies reckons its new design tool GDSIIZIP compresses large IC layout files in GDSII format by up to 20 times, making it four or five times better than existing products.
The fully equipped, state-of-the-art facility can seat over 180 engineers and has provision for operating multiple ODCs (offshore development centres) for customers with separate access control within the same premises.
Commenting on the new facility, Nachiket Urdhwareshe, CEO, SoftJin Technologies, said: "As the momentum of outsourced R and D services and development of customised EDA tools picks up globally, we at Softjin, being one of the few capable players offering such a service, is faced with demand which necessitated the new facility".
"Since much of what we do is IP-based, it further becomes imperative that we create a facility that allows us to operate multiple dedicated centres for our customers with separate access control".
"The facility signals the next phase of SoftJin's growth".
