New from Solid-State Supplies, the MICRF007 single-chip receiver features an ultra-low power consumption.

New from Solid-State Supplies, the MICRF007 single-chip receiver features an ultra-low power consumption - a mere 1.7mA at 315MHz (3.0mA at 433.92MHz) or 170uA when polled - makes the device ideal for ultra-low-power applications such as remote keyless entry and long range RF identification.

The MICRF007 also features a shutdown mode, which can be used for duty-cycle operation and reduces the quiescent current to 0.5uA.

Using Micrel's QwikRadio technology, the MICRF007 benefits from automatic internal RF and IF tuning which eliminates manual adjustment and reduces production costs.

The device also boasts onboard demodulation filtering, so that external baseband filtering is not required.

The demodulator filter bandwidth is set to 2.1kHz and the MICRF007 handles datarates up to 2Kbit/s.
